The Windmill
The Windmill is an iconic venue in Soho, having first opened in the 1900’s and famous for never closing even during the war. More recently it had fallen into disrepair and lost its lustre. We were asked to re-invigorate the Windmill and help restore it to being a prime London cabaret club. We began by embracing its rich history in the detailing and splitting the levels by colour and level of luxury incorporating the venue’s previous names – such as the Palais De Luxe for the upper circle and Hendersons for the private basement bar.
A number of experiential rooms and areas were designed – including a personal mirrored karaoke room and powder room. The flexible main space can be set for dinner for the show and cleared away revealing the dance floor and DJ booth.
