The challenge was to design a dual-branded, flexible space that would be able to change into 1 of 3 configurations: a daytime vegetarian canteen, an evening live music and spoken word venue or a mix of the two. Located in a converted car park, we developed a design with light, moveable furniture that could all fit into a small storage space when required.
Both brands incorporate this split nature with offset imagery and logos, each with its own distinct look and feel. The concrete environment also features in the brand imagery in both. A feature was made of the ceiling structure incorporating changeable colour lights and hanging planting to enhance and change the mood across both canteen and live venue.
